When you’re driving around Abingdon, VA and you see your tire pressure light come on, it’s important to know what it means and what needs to be done. You can always bring it into our service center at Blue Ridge Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM for one of our technicians to look at it.

The tire pressure light is connected to your tire pressure monitoring system. If the sensor senses that the PSI is not correct, the light on your dash will illuminate. It could be an indication that the tire pressure is too high or too low.

In some instances, it means that you need to put air in your tires. As temperatures rise and fall, it’s normal for the PSI to be affected. If you put air in and the light comes on again a few hours later, it could be a sign that there’s damage to the tire or even to the sensor itself.
